What is a roof inspection?

A roof inspection is simply checking the overall condition of your roof. It is critical to determine if your roof is presently excuting as expected, and if it isn’t, a roofer can make the appropriate recommendations.

Homeowners get roof inspections to determine life expectancy of their roof and to determine if it’s time for a replacement or repairs. However, your roof will also get inspected if a storm damages it, if you’re selling/buying a home, and during routine maintenance.

What is our duty as an Inspector?

Our inspector has the responsibility to check the entire condition and functionality of the customer's roof. The inspector will check:

  • The Number of Layers

  • The Drip Edge

  • The Condition of the Roof's Decking

  • The Condition of the Roofing Material

  • Roof Penetrations (anything sticking out of roof through the roof)

  • Roof Flashing (important metal components installed)

  • The Gutters and Downspouts, and

  • Attic Space
